1. The Journey – We fly to Calgary, Alberta. Our base camp is about a 90 minute drive from here at Sundre. There are direct flights from Amsterdam with KLM, among others.
The students go to Canada in the 3rd year for the Wilderness Guide subject and specialization
On site we work together with local guides from Painted Warriors and Mahikan Trails, among others.
Areas we visit include Willmore Wilderness, Bighorn Country, Kananaskis, Banff and Jasper National Parks and William A. Switzer Provincial Park.

2. Overnight stays – The overnight stays are in a bivouac or tent.
3. Nature – The nature is impressive. The Rocky Mountains and Foothills offer a nature lover much, if not everything. Mountains, forests, rivers, lakes and of course the fauna that comes with it. Wolf, moose, grizzly, black bear, puma, lynx and many more.
